LAKE POWELL II

I HAD NEVER BEEN TO LAKE POWELL...THIS YEAR I WENT TWICE!! OPPORTUNITY KNOCKED AND SO I JUST HAD TO TAKE IT. I WENT WITH MY COUSINS IN SEPT AND I WENT W/ RICHAEL AND HIS FRIENDS THIS MONTH. FOR SURE ONE O MY NEW FAVORITE PLACES!!

HERE IS THE HOUSBOAT WE GOT TO STAY ON. AWESOME!!!

THE WEEKEND WE GOT THERE IT WAS AMAZING AND WARM
WE WAKE BOARDED AND TUBED AND ALL SORT OF THINGS I DIDN'T GET TO TAKE PICTURES OF. WHICH PS I TOTALLY HAVE ONLY WAKE BOARDED LIKE 3 TIMES AND THE LAST TIME I DID WAS ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO AND I ROCKED IT. TOTALLY CAUGHT AIR AND LANDED MY JUMPS!!

MONDAY NIGHT IT STARTED TO STORMED WITH THUNDER AND LIGHTENING. MOST PEOPLE WOULD THINK THAT IS A BAD THING BUT IT LOVED IT. IT REMINDED ME OF MY MISSION. THE BLUE SKY AGAINST THE YELLOW SAGE IS SO PRETTY.

I JUST LOVE A GOOD THUNDER STORM NOTHING LIKE A GOOD STORM TO REMIND ME OF HOME.i TOOK THIS PICTURE BECAUSE THE LOVED THE CLOUDS, THREE DISTINCT DIFFERENT COLORS. SO PRETTY.

WE SETUP THE HAMMOCK ON THE UPPER DECK AND WATCHED THE LIGHTENING STORMS AT NIGHT. THE LIGHTENING GOT SO BRIGHT AT NIGHT IT WOULD MAKE YOU BLIND AFTERWARDS...LIKE A CAMERA FLASH DOES TO YOUR EYES AFTER IT GOES OFF IN THE DARK. SO AWESOME. COURSE THIS PICTURE WAS TAKIN JUST A FEW MINUTES B4 WE GOT COMPLETELY RAINED OUT.


I HAD ANOTHER PICTURE I DIDN'T POST BECUASE I LOOKED LIKE SUCH A DOG. IN CASE YOU DIDN'T HEAR..A TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN RIGHT NEAR TO WHERE WE WERE STAYING. WE GOT CAUGHT IN IT. IT WAS CRAZY. WIND WAS SO STRONG AND WE WERE GETTING BEAT UPON WITH HAIL THE SIZE OF QUARTERS!! WE WERE SOPPING BY THE END OF IT. WE DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS THE RESULT O A TORNADO TILL AFTER.

HERE IS ANOTHER FAV. i LAUGHED SO HARD WHEN I LOOKED OVER IN MY PASSENGER SEAT TO SEE ANDY'S MAN HAIR ALL MANGLED IN HIS TIGHTS. LOL. HE TRIED TO COVER WHEN i TOOK THE PICTURE BUT I SNUCK ONE IN LATER. LOL.



WE ALL RODE BACK IN MY CAR SO I BOUGHT GARBAGE BAGS I MADE THEM ALL WEAR TO KEEP MY CAR CLEAN. WE FELT LIKE TRUE HOBOS WITH OUR GARBAGE BAGS AND DESPERATE NEED FOR A SHOWER.

THIS IS OUR GROUP HOBO PHOTO. IT WAS FUNNY CUZ EVERYONE ENDED UP COMING UP WITH THEIR OWN LITTLE OUTFIT TO WEAR. I ESPECIALLY LOVE DANS SUSPENDERS AND ANDYS ALADIN PANTS.

I HAD DIRT CAKED ON MY LIPS AND I WAS SO DRIED OUT I COULD BARELY STAND IT....THEN I LOOKED OVER TO MY RIGHT AND SAW THIS LITTLE BEAUTY. "HOW DO YA ALL FEEL ABOUT SKINNY DIPPING" i ASKED. "ARE YOU SERIOUS!?" DAN ASKED. AND I WAS...PRETTY MUCH. SO I TURNED THE CAR AROUND AND WE ALL GOT DOWN INTO OUR SKIVVIES AND CLEANED OFF IN THIS FREEZER COLD LAKE. i THINK WE MIGHT HAVE TO MAKE IT A DIRTY DASH TRADITION.

Ya...i went softee

I got the coolest surprise on Friday. I rolled outta bed to the doorbell and found that Richael had flowers delievered to me..just because!! I couldn't believe it!! I have never gotten flowers from a guy before!! This was my first!! They were beautiful!! O course he says it was a just because but I am guessing that he plans on doin something really stupid in the near future and he is just covering his bases. LOL. No really. He is great.

Because i wanted it

I have always wanted a ball bearing tool box. And after a bunch o shoppping I finally found the perfect one!! I was soo tickeled pink when I found one within my price range. I know NO ONE will be nearly as excited about it as me but ahh well I am going to post it anyhow.

My dahlias

I LOVE DAHLIAS..they are my favorite flower. I went for a run b4 work one morn and saw THESE long lost friends. I thought they were done blooming!!! I was so excited to see that they were still truckin along despite my lack of care for them. What beauties. I can never get over the three tone colors and how they all blend and fade into one another. LOVE the Dahlias.

For the cuteness

These look so cute!! I know you aren't supposed to overstimulate the kid but I think when you have an idea as cool as this you just don't have a choice in the matter.

THE DIRTY DASH!!!!!!!!!!!!

So..back in JULY I posted about the dirty dash that I was sooo pumped to be a part of. It was by far on the the funnest things I did this summer. Right up there with sky diving and steer wrestling!!! I can't even tell you how much fun I had.It was the first one in Utah. It is a 10K through mud and obstacles. It kicked my butt for sure but it was oh so fun!! I have some more pictures to post but here is the one that I have for now.



Here I am runnin, pretending to enjoy the scene but really, I am about ready to kill over. All the mud on your legs and shoes really adds up....especially on the hills. I am here with Andy who was so kind as to push and wedgie me the entire time. The rest of my team is a ways in front of me.



Here is the beloved mud pit!! SO much fun that I went through it twice!! Andy and I cut back into the race afer we finished and went through it again and attacked Shaylas team!! IT was a blast!!

Steer Wrestlin!!!

So I just gotta say...we have the COOLEST bishopric EVER!! They arranges a RODEO for our ward this year. It was nothing short of a riot o fun. Here I am wrestlin a steer. Time o my life. I was in wannabecowgirl PARADISE.

We also had a dress a cow event, greased pig and cow tail event. (I won the cow tail event). And I have had a bunch o people mention what a cowgirl I am since this event.....I have never been so flattered.

TO Do's

Sad news is ... they took down out backyard fence.
The Good news is that I salvaged a ton of the fencing and have a ton o wood to do with as I please!! Its like candy to me!!! I am waiting for just het perfect project and I think this might be the one!
