Quiet books

SO Iknow they aren't perfect but I figure kids are just going to trash them anyhow. SO here are a few of the things i stole from others peoples ideas. The green one is just randoms and the grey one is my favorite because I farm themed it!! These aren't all the pages...just a few.

I made this one too. This one is making the crops grow..they slide up on the string.

Lastly I made this little tractor one. Gathering hay bails and putting them in the tractor!! ANd of course the windmill turns.

The UPdate

Last week I was EXTATIC To be called off work so I could go play basketball....THIS was the end result. ..Please note kankled left side of foot.

The good news is I didn't have to work the next two days either. Although it did result in a significantly smaller paycheck it pleased me to know that the government didn't get to take as much from me either. The other good news is that I got some projects done.

Here is the coffee table I paint toothpaste about 3 months ago and just got finished fixing it and making it old lookin.

I also started some quiet books for my kids (not that I have any...but one day..maybe....if my ovaries don't shrivel into uselessness by then).

Tree

I LOVE trees. They are one of my solaces. When I used to have one of those aweful terrible days back home there was a tree that I always ran to. I would just climb up and sit in the branches and look off into the distance. I would just sit there and look off into the prairie and either cope, cry or just take it in. Somehow up there I felt like I was away from it all. So any time I see gorgeously tall tree I just feel a peace.

Here is my latest edition....hence I am bored out of my mind. At least this time I didn't do it sliding down my friends bannister like last time.

Gotta make these

Not sure what it is about aprons but I LOVE them. I made 2 last year and i keep one hiden away cuz I like it so much. Then I saw this one!! I just sigh because much as I want my to do list to disappear I keep falling victim to new ideas I just can't resist.

This is a GREAT idea. Just some wood trim to trim your mirrors in the house!! How great is that? You can see the tutorial on my sausage link at the top "vintage junky."

THE NEW DIGGS

SO IT HAS BEEN A MONTH NOW..BUT HERE IS THE NEW DIGS...OF WHICH I LOVE LOVE LOVE AND HERE ARE JUST A FEW OF THE REASONS.

LOVE the house, the garage room for lucille, the roomies, the yard, the rose bushes that will bloom soon, the wooden fencing the front porch.



The little bit of grass and land that I can enjoy without being face planted into the neighbors house. The fruit trees. The room to plant some daliahs.

The soon to be garden!! The many hours I got to spend playin in the dirt diggin it up were priceless.


BUT ABOVE ALL..... I HAVE TO SAY THAT MY LITTLE PLACE OF HAMMOCK SOLACE IS MY FAVORITE THING!! IT IS JUST A LITTLE PIECE OF HEAVEN HANGING THERE WAITING FOR ME. I JUST LOVE THE NEW PLACE.(PS thanks for the hammock tawyna)

I just have to say...that I LOVE this dress Carrie is wearing...pretty sure I need one.
